We work with a number of key organisations. Each of them has a critical role in ensuring that HARC runs as smoothly as possible, providing the best experience for our guests each year, whilst keeping running costs to a minimum.
In recent years, we have employed Cathedral Archer Project Staff, who work on a daily basis with vulnerable people, to oversee each of the HARC shifts. Their expertise has ensured that logistical, emergency, and ‘difficult to handle’ situations have been managed effectively.
Since 2014 we have worked with Sheffield based food catering company Argent. Argent not only provide and deliver all the fresh and frozen food required but also supply trained kitchen staff (many as volunteers) to help supervise and run the HARC kitchen.
Most importantly, Argent has created appetising daily food menus for our guests. Their expertise has also helped decrease food waste, which in turn has reduced our food bill.
HARC has working relationships with other organisations in Sheffield including:
Ben’s Centre : A place of stability for Sheffield’s street drinkers.
Stop Gap : Pays for emergency accommodation for rough sleepers during winter months.
The Sunday Centre : A Sunday lunch project which offers a safe, social space for homeless and other vulnerable people. The Centre is at Victoria Methodist Church on Sundays.
St. Wilfrid’s Centre : St Wilfrid’s Centre is open to all vulnerable adults aged between 18-65 years old. It has a skilled staff team offering basic welfare services and activities to promote a person’s wellbeing and independence.
