How to Volunteer

HARC relies on the dedication and kindness of our volunteers to make everything we do possible. We're incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and care they give to make every year possible.

All volunteer slots for out 2025 project are now full - thank you!

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has signed up for a shift this year. HARC simply couldn't run without the generosity, time and kindness of our volunteers.

If you're still keen to get involved, you can email us at harc.sheffield@gmail.com to be added to our reserve list, in case any spaces open up.

And if you're unable to volunteer this time, there are still fantastic ways to support the project - by fundraising, collecting clothing or essential items, or spreading the word about what we do. Every bit of support helps us make a real difference over Christmas.

The following items are always needed and very much appreciated:

  • Trousers/jeans/jogging bottoms

  • Waterproof jackets/coats

  • Sleeping Bags

  • Jumpers

  • Tops/long sleeve tops

  • Men’s footwear

  • Scarves

  • Gloves

  • Woolly hats

  • Pants and socks (these must be new)

  • Toiletries
