What We Do

HARC is a Sheffield-based charity providing a safe, warm and welcoming refuge for vulnerable people during the festive season. Every year, while much of the city celebrates at home, many in our community face cold, hunger and loneliness. We open our door to offer hot meals, warm clothing, companionship and dignity to anyone in need - no questions asked.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to ensure that nobody in Sheffield has to face Christmas alone, hungry, or without shelter. We believe that everyone deserves to feel valued and supported.

What We Offer

  • A safe and welcoming space

  • Nutritious hot meals served daily during out Christmas project

  • Warm clothing, toiletries and essentials

  • Essential wellbeing services such as hairdressing, foot care from a podiatrist, needle exchange and visits from a district nurse

  • Friendly conversation and a listening ear

  • Signposting to local support services for housing, health, and wellbeing

Who We Help

We support people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, temporary accommodation, or social isolation - as well as anyone in need of warmth and company during the festive period.

Our Impact

Every Christmas, HARC makes a real difference in the lives of people facing hardship in Sheffield. Thanks to our incredible volunteers and the generosity of our supporters, we're able to provide comfort, dignity and hope.

  • 580 Meals served during last year's project

  • 100 + Guests welcomed into a safe, warm space

  • Countless conversations, smiles and moments of kindness shared
