For this role it helps if you like working in a kitchen and have some cooking experience. Volunteers in the kitchen will always be under the supervision of an experienced cook.

There are usually four kitchen volunteers per shift, two from 7.30-2.30pm and two from 10.30-2.30pm.

What will I do as a kitchen volunteer?

• Prepare and cook food

• Plate up food

• Work with general volunteers to get food to guests efficiently

• Clean kitchen equipment and carry out other kitchen duties

• Help with maintaining the food store
